Atlanta Show House

We are currently in the middle of the 41^st Annual Decorators’ Show House & Gardens. My company, Karpaty, made all the cabinetry throughout this 20,000 square foot house. 3 kitchens, 10 bathrooms, 2 bars, an office, a mudroom, 2 laundry rooms, and more....it kept us very busy over the winter!

Stuck in the middle of traditional Buckhead, The Lotus House combines Neo-Classical Architecture and a very eclectic mix of décor as the theme “East meets West” incorporates many aspects of the homeowners’ Indian heritage. We’ve been very pleased with such a warm reception thus far. Guest have commented that this is the best Symphony House to date, which is a great compliment. Karpaty is extremely honored to be involved!

Our 1st Anniversary

This weekend Danny and I celebrated ONE YEAR of marriage...with great anticipation of so many more! We really had a good time reminiscing the past year and setting some good goals for the next one.

Saturday we strolled around Piedmont Park at the Dogwood Festival; Danny admitted to enjoy the people watching with me, and we both marveled at the cool canines preforming in the dog show, as well as the creative art vendors set up all over the park. For dinner we tried some thing new, Bistro VG, now a favorite for both of us! The atmosphere was perfect and the food outstanding!

We came home, sliced open our year-old cake, and played a fun little game my crafty mom made for our "paper anniversary". Danny's token phrase, "What a day!" could not have described it better :) The two of us are extremely thankful for such a great year and especially for each other.

Stag Weekend

This past weekend Danny and I took part (separately) in our friends' stag parites. All the boys took Taylor, the groom, to Blue Ridge for some outdoorsy fun on Friday afternoon. They went white water rafting on the Ocoee River the following day, cooked out, and hung out around the camp fire. It was Danny's first time w.w. rafting; I'm glad he enjoyed it because that's one of my family's favorite summer activities...so now he's prepared for a Stallo adventure!

The girls celebrated Lindsey here in Atlanta with a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the Braves game, then dinner at Eclipse di Luna and a night out in Buckhead. We both thoroughly enjoyed time with our friends and could not be any happier for the soon-to-be Bronikowskis!! They are so perfect for eachother and will tie the knot the first weekend in June. Of course the boys have no pictures, but here are a couple from the ladies' day out!

Savannah

Last weekend my Italy Girls reunited in Savannah for three days of fun! There is never a dull moment with these girls!! We're talking gut-aching belly laughs 24/7; the clothes swapping, pick up right where you left off last time kind of girls. We are the greatest of friends and I already miss them so much!

Netherland flew in to Atlanta from Washington DC and rode with me to meet the girls Friday night. We were greeted 100 yards away with screaming, jumping and squealing, in the middle of downtown Savannah. What an exciting welcome! They had the evening planned out and we jumped right in...dinner at Molly MacPhersons, an awesome Scottish Pub, then dancing at The Rooftop bar (or should I say half of us watched Ashley S. and Kristi get down), and ended the night with some karaoke at Bay Street Blues. Time ticked away into wee hours of the morning but we couldn't stop chatting; what fun!

The next morning we took our time getting ready; six girls in one bathroom, then ate a delicious brunch at Goose Feathers. After a little bit of window shopping we took a carriage ride of The Historic District, hit up my favorite frozen drink bar, Wet Willy's, and got gussied up for a stroll and pictures at Forsyth Park. Finally, after 10pm we got seated at The Olde Pink House, and enjoyed a gourmet dinner. Sunday morning came too early and we had to say goodbye. Kristi, Ashley S. and Katie headed home while Netherland, Ashley W. and I stuck around town on the sunniest of Sunday afternoons before leaving. Hats off to Kristi and Ashley who left behind 14 mo. babies for the first time; they both did great (and apparently their kiddos did too)! I CAN NOT WAIT until our next get-together...Netherland's wedding in December!
