Love, Love, Love

While April 17 marked our official anniversary, the next couple weeks bring back memories of some benchmark "anniversaries" for Danny and I. We have spent the weekend thus far reflecting on such great moments...

Two years ago today, Danny asked me to marry him. We found our selves at Nava last night, not because that is where he took me the night of the engagement, but rather because we had our $25 BLG Dine Around card to use before June's end. The waitress asked if it was a special occassion and at that very same moment I realized it kind of was...so I told her we were re-living the day of his proposal. Then we started replaying our relationship time-line, and realized it is just "our time of year".

Next week on July 3, back in 2007, was our first kiss. As it has been told, after our date he called his mom to tell her "the fireworks started early" and he really liked this girl he referred to as "Jessica Softball."

Today, Danny went to Bodypump class with me at the gym [shhh it's a secret]; then we went rug shopping. The gestures have gotten less grand, but they symbolize the same sort of love, right?? Oh, the joys of marriage... neither of us would trade them for a thing! :)

Wedding bells

Earlier this month Danny and I were excited to attend the wedding of our good friends, Taylor and Lindsey. It was a beautiful wedding and an extremely fun reception! The two of them are absolutely perfect for each other. They are both such fun loving, caring, motivated, adventurous, and all-around beautiful people!

In true Just the Tip fashion, their wedding day started off with a kickball game for their families and friends to mingle. Pam and Doug paved the way for Danny and I, and Lindsey and Taylor carried on the (rather unconventional) tradition. It was of course hot as could be Saturday morning, but it was a great turn out and everyone had fun!

Their ceremony took place at Dunwoody United Methodist. Lindsey was radiant, a perfect bride; the bridesmaids dresses were some of my favorites. And I enjoyed the preacher's reminder of what a marriage truly means.

Everyone headed to Ivy Hall in downtown Roswell for the reception. I loved the rustic and lively atmosphere. It fit the bride and groom to a T! We drank, ate, and danced the night away, and somehow even made it out to the bar afterwards.

We are so extremely happy for the Bronikowski's! I can not wait to hear about their honeymoon to BVI!

Panama City Beach

A few weeks ago we went to Panama City for the 3rd Annual friends weekend, which started off as a joint bachelor-bachelorette party for the Postells, mainly our kickball group and Pam's Maine summer camp friends. It was a smaller crowd this year, so we switched locations to a house near Pier Park. It was a fabulous weekend...perfect weather, great friends, and unexplainable fun!Friday after laying out all day, we hit up a nearby hole in the wall, Dusty's, for happy hour and oysters! It turned into many happy hours, then we returned home for karaoke and a dance party.

Saturday, after yet another perfect beach day, everyone pitched in for a yummy cookout. Jason even prepared a low country shrimp boil.

This PCB weekend only added to the outstanding memories we have with our friends. We can not wait for next year! :)
